The hostel also offers luggage services after check-out, allowing guests to continue exploring the area.

Some guests mentioned that the linens had a musty smell and the carpets were in need of replacement, which affected their overall experience.

The location was great, right on Union Square! It was clean, equipped like on the photos, we had a double room with own bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I missed a sink in the shared room

The location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk from Powell Street BART station. The staff was helpful and welcoming, and the hostel accepts cash payments. They also provide luggage storage until 10 pm on the checkout night. The free breakfast had eggs and fruit, and the kitchen was well-equipped with pans. The room was clean and had a twin bed with an ensuite shower and toilet. There was also a fan and space heater available if needed.

My partner and I stayed at Hi San Francisco Downtown for five nights during our vacation. The location was fantastic, just a stone's throw away from Union Square. The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights was the delicious and varied breakfast that was provided each morning. We loved the fact that the hostel prioritized sustainability, reusing water for flushing toilets. The cleanliness of the hostel was also impressive, from the rooms to the common areas. a great experience!
